Need advice from my CF girls
My female boss constantly asks me how much I paid for things. I'm not usually bothered by this since we're true bargain hunters at heart. But I worry that now that we are considering buying a home, how do I handle this answer without being rude? I am 100% positive she is going to ask me this and I don't really feel comfortable answering...

I would say "Enough that I don't want to think about it, let alone answer that question. Hahahahahaha."

Don't tell. Either tell her straight out that you don't feel comfortable about sharing that, or be flip enough to answer "enough that I need a raise". That's a pretty personal disclosure. I dislike people who constantly have to ask what things cost. It's as if they either have to one-up you or it is to satisfy their superiority complexes.

Re: Need advice from my CF girls
I would go with the "enough" response. Thats what I used when people had the ballz to ask how much we payed pp for our wedding.

I agree, the "we paid plenty!" type of response. Be vague and hopefully she won't pressure you for an exact answer!

Re: Need advice from my CF girls
Whenever someone asks me what something cost, I say "five dollars." After they aske me two or three times, trust me, they stop asking because they clearly know your purse or your car did not cost five dollars!
