front door

my front door has a huge window in the middle that i want to cover up to keep the cold air blocked. so since it is only temporary i bought a curtain rod that just sticks to the door
so my question is what kind of curtains do i buy? all i see in the stores are really long ones or valances.
i just want one that will cover the window. do u think i can find something or i have to get one custom made?
any ideas or suggestions are greatly apprectiated !

if its only a temp fix have you thought about making them? buy fabric at any art store. if you cant sew you might be able to get away with fabric glue. like i said it would be for a temp fix unless you wanted to get fancy...
