Not sure what to do
I was feeling a lot better. Then I found out my friend's due date is exactly the same as mine would have been. I knew she was pregnant but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to jinx it. We're supposed to go out this week but I don't want to. She has every right to be excited but at the same time I think I will have a breakdown. DH says I have to get over it.

Re: Not sure what to do
I can only imagine how hard it was to hear that... remember you are totally normal for feeling the way you do. I am sure you wish your friend all the best but it's not about anyone but you and right now that's too tough to handle, I am sure as time passes and you make progress you will embrace her good news!

Re: Not sure what to do
you have every right to feel the way you do. DH wouldn't understand it bc his body isn't going through what we've gone through. It's emotional, it's physical, it's everything! It's terrible and if you don't want to go out next week bc it's too soon then don't go. I'm sure you're friend will understand that you want to reschedule. Last week was a week after my miscarriage and I had a party and there was a pregnant friend there and I had to leave the room bc I started to cry when I saw her...she didn't see me but DH followed me outside to console me...it's hard but it gets easier with time.

Re: Not sure what to do
Thanks. I wasn't sure if I was over reacting. Almost everybody I know is pregnant right now. The same due date was just too much. I think I'll stay home. I am so thankful that the physical part only lasted a week. I was so scared there would be spotting for weeks.

I think you should talk to your friend about your feelings. I totally understand why you are feeling what you are feeling..and I am sure if you experess it to her she will understand too. Tell her how excited you are...and that you wish her nothing but the best. but its hard dfor your right now. I think if you just back away from her she won't understand where you are coming from.
I"m sorry

Its a group thing Im skipping. I thought about telling her but I think it would upset her more. I don't want it to be awkward. I only had the mc a week ago so its still upsetting. In a few weeks hopefully everything will be better.

Re: Not sure what to do
Yea i can relate i have a lot of friends that are prego around the same time i would have been due and i always think that i will never get over it- the fact of the matter is they are always going to be our friends and we have to be happy for them...
BUT ur friend should really understand what your going through and understand that you may be distant until you feel better about the situation...you have all the right to feel this way...I hope she does
