shots

I just read about the measles shot. How do you know if you need this? If you got one as a child, do you need to get another one? Also, are you supposed to go to your PCP before you start trying? Thanks!

I found out that I needed a measle shot from my GYN. I went to discuss TTC and he did blood work. When the results came back 2 weeks later they told me that I was not immune to measles that I need to get the shot, even though I had one when I was an infant and again before I started college. When they run the blood work they check for all sorts of things... genetic testing, shots, STD's ect.....

If you are going to start to TTC I would go to your GYN and talk with him. Some doctors do blood work before and some when you get PG. I was also put on pre natal vitamins.
