Officially a member of "infertility" forum: Update - Thank you...
I just got off the phone with my RE dr., whom i've been waiting anxiously for since last week. I got my baseline blood work result back last week and my FSH was elevated at 12.7. Today, my dr. told me that she advice me to go straight into IVF because even though, i'm only 28, the quality of my eggs are equivalent to someone who's over 35+. I'm just so devasted. I just feel like i'm another step closer to my nightmare of not able to have my own biological child.
Okay, my vent is over. Thank you girls for listening. I'm getting so nervous about my IVF program. I don't even know what to expect.

Just want to say thank you!
I just want to say thank you to all you wonderful ladies for the kind words and support. I am literally in tears right now sitting at my office at work. To know that i'm not alone in this process and that it's okay to be going through these fertility treatment is comforting to me. I will update frequently as well as help out other ladies with any questions they may have. I have a feeling that it's going to be a long journey but I know I'm ready for it now.

Welcome! I am so sorry you're feeling so down 
I am 29 and have an FSH of 10. My RE didnt think i would respond well to the meds but I just had my ER today and they got 30 eggs! I will let you know the quality of them once the fert report comes in but i just wanted to tell you that FSH is sometimes just a number - don't let it define you.
I work with someone whose FSH was thru the roof and she did an IUI and is pregnant with twins! I would definitely try some other options before heading to IVF

Best of luck to you! Stay strong throughout the IVF process - take everything day by day and of course come on here with questions or just to vent.
I understand the fear of not being able to have a child (I have the same one). But until the Dr's tell us that there is no chance, we'll all keep on battling together!!!
Also, a quick tip for the journey, give yourself little things to look forward to - makes the time go faster!!!

I understand your fear. IVF is scary when you are about to start. If you take it one day at a time, it turns out not to be too bad. IVF might be just what you need to get that BFP! I'm 28, just did my first IVF and got my first BFP after 17 months of trying... It's all worth it in the end.

Welcome 
A FSH of 12.7 is really not that high. Like you, I first saw an RE when I was 28 and my FSH was the same as yours (it also will fluctuate between months). While it is slightly elevated, it is really not that bad. I actually am surprised that your doctor told you to go straight to IVF and not do any IUIs.
While my IUIs were not successful, my first round of IVF and plenty of people are successful with IUIs so don't give up hope!!!

Welcome. You will find so much information and support on this board. I am sorry that you are going through this, but now you have a plan and are on your way! IVF can be very overwhelming, but you'll take this journey one step at a time and you'll be just fine! Hope your stay is short!

Welcome, I hope your stay is short but sweet.
I don't know anythign about FSH levels, but good luck with your plan. IT can seem oerwhelming at first, but there is power in knowledge.
