Round Ligament Pain "is this normal" question
For the past three days, I have had stretches of (what I believe to be) round ligament pain that last a few hours and then stop and restart.
It's kind of where my pubic bone is (the triangle part that the front of the underware covers ) and feels more muscular than uterus-related. The pains range from dull aches to little sharp pangs and hurts most when I change any kind of position of my body.
Is it normal for this to go on for days and for hours at a time? A google search has only defined it and described symptoms... it hasn't said how long these bouts should take..
ETA: I'm 12w4d if that helps.

Re: Round Ligament Pain "is this normal" question
I've had them on and off for the past few weeks. They don't last a long time for me, but they are definitely uncomfortable and occasionally painful. I would definitely mention it to your doctor but I don't think it's anything to worry about.

I had them too. I would lay with my feet up, that helped a little bit.

Re: Round Ligament Pain "is this normal" question
I have terrible pain in the area you describe. If I touch it, it is sore to the touch- like it was bruised. It's like my pubic bone was kicked. It's been like this for weeks now!

Re: Round Ligament Pain "is this normal" question
Is the pain towards the side? The first time I had round ligament pain it hurt so much and lasted for a couple of hours. It started out low (like you're describing) and then moved up, but stayed towards the side. I was nervous since I never had it before so I called my OB and they checked it out, but they said it 's totally normal. If you're worried, you should call the doctor...you'll feel much better after speaking with him/her!

It's normal but try and sit down and have some fluids just to keep yourself relaxed.

Re: Round Ligament Pain "is this normal" question
I just went to the dr with this problem on Friday. I had such sharp sharp pain, I couldn't bend or even roll over in bed. It was waking me up at night. So when I went to the dr and she examined me she said it was round ligament. She said its very common especially in first pregnancy. She said there was no need to worry but if you think its something more than that call your dr and let them examine you.
