I was up early to get going and was grumpy until I got a text from someone else telling me..it's amazing...but...even here on LI, my driveway is completely plowed in..going to take me a while to shovel later...

I called 311 this morning at 5 am and made an "Opinion" complaint to the mayor.
I am in Manhattan and the streets aren't even plowed here. On the news, they were calling for double commute time. It would have taken me 2 hours to get to work and I live and work in the same borough!
Thank God he came to his senses!!!! Enjoy the 3 day weekend!
And BTW, we shouldn't have to make the days up because we have more then 180 school days.

I can't believe it! I was going to stay home because the roads are not great, even to the train. 
I had channel 2 on around 5:15 when they said schools would be open and all the on-air people were commenting about how they thought it was a terrible idea. I don't know if I'd ever heard something like that before.

Before I checked the news, I looked out the window and just KNEW they were going to be closed........... It looks terrible out there!! It would have honestly been psychotic to keep the schools open and there would have been a TON of accidents!!!!!!!!!!! He had no choice, in my opinion....

What time did they announce it?? I checked at 6:11am and it was posted on their site But Im annoyed they made me get up when they knew more snow was coming....I was soooooooooo excited that it took me foreverrrrrr to go back to bed
