Re: Bath Toy Recommendations

those bath sticker things...foam shapes that stick to the tub walls. plus, they don't get as icky as some of the squeeze toys.

Re: Bath Toy Recommendations

the weirdest things. Anything that scoops up water and he can dump. He loves to take a bucket or a cup in the tub with him. He has bath toys but he prefers something he can scoop up and pour out

Re: Bath Toy Recommendations

The Today Show had a segment last week about the germs and bacteria that grow on bath toys. They took a sampling of someone's bath toys and tested them all. Anything with a hole in the bottom of the toy they said is a no-no because it never fully dries inside and it's a breathing ground for bacteria. They cut open those toys with holes in the bottom and it was disgusting...black sludge inside - looked like the inside of a sewer pipe.
Just wanted to share...they said Munchkin makes rubber duckies now without the holes in the bottom.

ETA: forgot to mention they said to clean/sterilize bath toys as often as possible.

bath letters and any sort of stacking cups. we threw out anything with a hole in it because it had mildew/mold in it.

was just going to post this about the today show piece. A friend of mine sent it around and it was GROSS... and a few people I know cut open their toys and said there was black gunk. No squirty toys here anymore!!

yeah the segment completely grossed me out! If you think about it - the toys do float around in gross water...and I bet people don't think to clean them enough or just dump and get new ones.
