so what would u do if you feel that bm isn't great influence for child or best place to live and u step up as a stepmom as sandra bullock has done, only to realize that the man you married isn't of the same moral cloth as you thought...technically sm's don't have any rights to the stepchildren, but what happnes in this case? do u think he could care for his daughter w/out sandra's help? would sandra want to keep the child b/c she'd be the best person for the job? it's so interesting when dealing with blended families...

This situation is just a mess! I don't know what I would do. I would want nothing to do with DH but, to me, if you cut him out entirely, it would have to include the kids too which is just added heartache. I feel very sorry for her.
