Besides the obvious, what do you do before bed?

I always have to make sure my car keys are on their hook (or else I can't sleep)

always have to make sure pot of coffee is ready to go and that both cell and traditional alarm is set.

and I always have to read until my eyes start to close & then hit the light.

what about you?

Since my wife usually goes to bed first. I pray that she didn't steal my favorite pillow, and that her legs are on her side of the bed.
My only O.C.D is that when i take my shoes off, they have to be facing to the left. I strongly believe the world will end if they face any other direction.

I have to make sure the doors and windows are all locked, there can not be any dirty dishes in the sink or anything on the counter, then I read until I start falling asleep.

Get the puppies settled in for bed, grab a glass of water, set the alarm, & set the tv timer.

Make sure the kitchen is cleaned up and my coffee mug is on the counter, the living room is straightened up.
My handbag has to be ready for the morning, and I have to know what I am going to wear the next day.
Then I watch tv for a little while until bedtime. Can't watch tv in bed though, because I fall alseep.

Check my alarm 10 times bc I am notrious for thinking it is set and waking DH and myself up 10 minutes late

Yeah no dirty dishes in sink is big with me...if my kitchen is clean my life feels organzied for some reason lol

other than wash, brush etc I think that is it!

Besides the usual stuff- brush teeth etc, I have to make sure the front door is locked, the stove is off, the fridge is def. closed shut - solidly shut, no dishes in sink, feed the cats, change the cats water, turn off the tv., the alarm is set for the morning.

Put the dogs out, set the house alarm, get glass of water, get cell phone, check alarm clock, fed fish, make sure dogs have water. Watch TV for awhile.

I ALWAYS check the deadbolt on my door before I hop into bed even though I JUST checked it before I brushed my teeth. (living alone makes me paranoid and I hate it so much!)
I put a K cup in my coffee maker and take out the sugar and place my travel mug next to the pot so I'm all set to go in the morning.
I HAVE to arrange the pillows on my couch neatly and fold my blanket nicely on my recliner.
Lastly....I usually chat through text with my boyfriend when he gets home from my place and we'll chat til we fall asleep.

If DH is coming to bed with me, I straighten out the living room - fix the pillows on the couch, put the remotes back, etc...

wash any glasses DH has left in the sink

make sure the door is locked

check that my alarm is ready to go off at all 3 intervals

Confirm with DH what time he NEEDS to be up, so I can annoy him to no end when he has absolutely no time left to sleep in.

change into whatever i want to sleep in - i don't really have pajamas but i have comfortable things that i wear to bed, floss, brush, wash my face, moisturize, brush my hair.

put my purse in a certain spot in my room, with my keys, phone, etc. in one spot. i usually watch a little TV to unwind. sometimes i pick out clothes for the next day or i pack my gym bag for the next day.

make sure Charlotte has been out one last time.

DH is very big on giving each other a nice kiss before going to sleep and making sure to say i love you.

I have to take my pocket book up with me! Have to make sure cell phone, wallet and bottle of water all are in there! I HAVE to have a bottle of water next to me. I got that from my mom. Sometimes, in the AM, its still full..LOL..but it HAS to be there.

I check ALL doors and windows.
Grab lap top, settle down in bed, and read or play games til I can't see straight..LOL I ALWAYS have the TV on too. I'll be chatting with someone on AIM and leave them for some time because I got involved in a show..LOL

Go in and check on the kids. Give them more kisses and hugs. Say Goodnight.

just make sure their water next to the bed and make sure the tv alarm is on or off.

dh goes to bed after me so he has to walk the dog and lock the doors.

Pick out my clothes for the next day.
Put my K-cup in coffee machine and get my mug ready.
Make lunches
Set alarm
read a few pages of my book until my eyes are closing

My clothes are laid out on my office chair for the next day, usually a pair of undies, socks, pants, a T-shirt, and a hooded sweatshirt.

Lunches are prepared and coffee is set up for both myself and DW.
She gets the coffeemaker, which is set to start brewing at 6:15am. I get the Farberware percolator, plugged into a portable timer and set to brew at 4am.

Very often I go to bed freshly showered so that I sleep better. I kiss DW goodnight and put on my CPAP mask (gotta wear this or I'll saw wood like a buzzsaw and she'll probably smother me with a pillow!).

I make sure the volume is up high enough on the clock radio so that I don't sleep through the alarm. DW turns on the remote controlled CD player and soft music comes on.

Make sure the kitchen sink is clean. Put cats to bed, check on the baby, make sure I have enough water by my bed, turn on alarm, sleep.
