# of embryos transfered

Hi Ladies.....for those of you have done IVF, I was wondering how many embryos did you transfer? Could you please also list your age? I do apologize in advance if anyone find this offensive. I'm starting my protocol in April and I was just curious how many embryos transfer is part of the norm. I did ask my RE and she said no more than 2 for me and I'm 28 with elevated FSH at 12.7.

We only got two..so two went back..I'm 43.

33, put back 2, may have FSH/poor egg quality issues. If I do IVF again, I will put in 3 embies if I am lucky enough to create them.

Did my first 2 rounds of IVF when I was 37

IVF #1 - 3 embryos on day 3 (if we went to day 5 it would have been 2)- BFP, but miscarried

IVF#2 - 3 embryos on day 3 - two took, but only one developed and I carried a singleton pregnancy

FET - did at age 38 - 2 embryos (only had 2 viable ones after doing PGD). Would have transferred 2 anyway since they were day 5 embies from my 2nd IVF cycle. Again, got pregnant with twins, but only one developed. Now, 18 weeks pregnant.

I did 1 cycle of IVF. They retrieved 24 eggs 13 fertilized and I transferred 4. I was 40 at the time of transfer and 41 when I had the triplets.

I was 34 at the time....

Ist IVF- transferred 2 crummy embies and got pg but it was chemical...

2nd IVF- transferred one perfect hatching blast ( on RE's reccomendation because I was at a risk of OHSS and it can be worse w/ multiples) Got my DD


ETA- 1st was a day 3 transfer, 2nd was a day 5 !

We transferred 2. I am 34. We have MF issues and I have carried a pregnancy to term before so there doesn't *seem* to be anything wrong with me. On the day of the transfer they recommended only transferring 1 because the embryos were both very high quality, but I am glad we transferred both because I am now pregnant with 1 baby!

I am 39... Only one egg was able to get retrieved. It did fertilize and was 8 cell grade B on transfer day. I am currently in the 2ww.

I am 33 and our issue is male factor. I put back two and got pregnant with twins. I ended up losing them both at 17 weeks but I don't think it was an IVF-related issue.

Next time I will be putting in just one because I am too nervous for two.

I'm 39, my FSH was 2 and I got 6 embryos, I let him transfer 3 and asked them to freeze the others to 5 days, but they didnt make it

There are SO many factors to consider... but I'll give you my info anyway.

Was 24 for all...

IVF - transferred 2, BFN
FET 1 - transferred 3, BFN
FET 2 - transferred 3, BFP with twins, lost one at 9 weeks.

First IVF I was 28 and we transferred two day 5 blast = BFP

Second IVF I was 30 and we transferred two day 3 embryos = BFN

Third IVF (actually it was a FET) I was also 30 and we transferred three Frozen Embryos = BFN

I have PCOS and DH has MF.

IVF #1: 2 not so great 3 day embryos- BFN

IVF #2: 4 8cell grade 1 - possible ectopic.

I am 34 and we will put back 2. We have male factor issues, so no reason they shouldn't take. But DH and I discussed that if we only have 3 total embies that make it, then we'll put all three back in and take our chances.

2 embies fsh 17 age 43 at the time. 1 took and I have a child ... I will say it was many years of failed treatments first..

I was 32 at the time I did IVF. I transferred 2 and have twins.

I was 29 at the time of my transfer and we transferred 2. I also had elevated FSH. During the cycle, we discussed the possibility of transferring 3, but ultimately we only had 2 to transfer.
