Disney
We are thinking of going to disneyworld for a long weekend in September. It would just be DH & I no kids yet. Not sure where to stay. I have already stayed at Carribean Beach, Fort Wilderness Camp Grounds and All-Star. Want something nice but not too pricey. Any recomendations? Also not sure if we should do a dining plan. Any info would be great!

Re: Disney
The Wilderness Lodge is really nice! It's in the deluxe category but it's priced a little lower. It's beautifully themed, has boat access to the Magic Kingdom and 2 good sit down restaurants.
If you want to stay at the moderate level - Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite. They have a nice pool and large pool bar area. They have a large food court, great gift shop, boat to Downtown Disney, beautiful property, etc. The best part is Bob Jackson - he puts on a great show in the River Roose which is the lobby lounge. It's a can't miss!

Re: Disney
When my wife and I go during this time without the kids, we like to splurge on the resort just a little more.
Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge are both lower-tier deluxe resorts that are a good value.
Another option (as was already mentioned) is Port Orleans, however I much prefer French Quarter if the kids aren't present. It's a small, cozy resort that has a great atmosphere. It's located on the Sassagoula River too, so you can take the water taxi to Downtown Disney for a show or dinner.
My last suggestion is actually the one I prefer, and that is the Contemporary Resort. This option puts you right next to the Magic Kingdom, with the nightly Wishes fireworks show, the Electric Water Pageant, and of course the convenience of the monorail. Rooms in the Garden Wing of this resort are often comparable to those at Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom, but you just cannot beat the location, nearby dining options, etc.
Hope that helps!
