Trying to sell stuff here; if not, I need Craigslist advice anyone?
I'm selling my entire tropical plant/orchid setup
If anyone wanted the whole shebang, we're talking a lot of money. I would like to sell everything at once of course, but if I must, I'll sell in pieces.
I already created a new email account so I can list on Craigslist. I'm looking for any and all tips about how to word my listing, how to accept payment, what "rules" to set out for prospective buyers up front, and anything else to avoid being scammed that you can think of?
All the pieces are in my basement, which has an outside entrance only, and there's nothing of really high value inside.
My husband would be showing people the unit and answering questions while I'm at work or we would be there together at night. We have a dog with a real scary bark for anyone who comes to the door.
Do you have any advice for me? I would appreciate it.

I would just say to list it on CraigsList with as many pics and info as possible. It could sell overnight or it could take a few weeks to find yourself a buyer.
Write in your ad that you are accepting cash only. Do NOT even respond or consider e-mails you receive that mention a third party pickup, money orders or them sending you extra $ to hold the item. IF you have a question, the LIF girls are pretty good at smelling out a scam

Great point, thank you! Yea, there's no other payment that's as secure as cash.

Thanks for your suggestions. Considering there is glass involved, it definitely is local pickup only since it can't be shipped anyway.
