Just curious- who else is here NOT by choice?
It seems like a lot of people here just don't want children yet or at all...

Funny, I was thinking about this the other day. My DH does not want children, but I do (did), and gave up that. I guess I kind of hoped that he would change his mind but that didn't happen. He's 48 and I'm 43 now, and don't think that I could give birth to and raise a child now anyway. Too complicated.
I guess that makes me here not by choice.

me... i can't have bio kids, so we're waiting to start the adoption process.
I'm really enjoying being childfree right now, but i think if i wasn't in this situation, we would have at a least one kid by now. Its just taking a lot to work up the nerve to start the adoption process ( we need to get reference letters from neighbors, friends, get finanical reports, a social worker report, etc,etc,etc). so, we do want kids- but for right now, we're making the most of being childfree
