fighting cancer without chemo
does anyone have success stories and/or suggestions?
a friend of mine was diagnosed and does not want to go through chemo.
i have heard about alkaline diets, but i want more info.

What type of cancer? What stage? What kind of health was the patient in before diagnosis (i.e. obese, HBP, GI issues etc.)?

What stage? That makes a big difference. There are some cancers that you can do a lumpectomy and that is it if it is caught very very early on and depending on the type- but others I believe you need chemo. Maybe she could contact a place like Memorial Sloan Kettering and see if they know any doctors who offer alternative treatments.

thanks. she's going for a lumpectomy this week.
not sure of the stage...waiting to hear form her.
she mentioned radiation, but she and i are both into holistic and natural remedies and were tlooking for either alternatives or something to just boost her health in general.

I know someone who had success with Dr. Linchitz in Glen Cove. He only sees cancer patients at this point, and being that he is a survivor as well, if he feels the therapies need to be backed-up with chemo or radiation he will let you know honestly where you stand.

My mom is a breast cancer survivor. She just had her 5th anniversary of being cancer free. She did not need chemotherapy (but would have gone through it had her oncologist recommended it). She had a lumpectomy and radiation. When the cancer is relatively contained and caught early, many patients only need radiation and not chemo. I'm not sure I'd go against my doctors' advice if they recommended chemo, though.

A friend of DH's was seeing a homeopathic doctor who gave him a ton of remedies. The homeopath strongly disagreed with chemo, however our friend opted for both chemo at the advice of his doctor & then took immune boosters from homeopaths.
He was already stage IV liver when they discovered it, so unfortunately he did not make it. However in the end, when the hospice was visiting he was taking some herbal stuff - and the hospice staff was amazed that he was regaining his liver & kidney function.

I know people (relatives of people I personally know) who have had success with Cellect drink supplements.

My mom tried these for her cancer, but it was already stage 4 pancreatic cancer when she was diagnosed. She was doing great while drinking this stuff though.
If you contact them they have many success stories and like I said I personally know some of them. He is very convincing and much of what he says makes sense, but I don't buy it 100%.

my doctor is rated one pf the top ten oncologists on LI, he only treats aggresively if he has to if u want to fm me for his #.
Also, Suzanne Summers is on the money of course dependin on what stage.
I learned soooooooo many tricks-please call.
