Sharp pain near ovary?
Today at work I was hit by a sudden, sharp pain where I am guessing my ovary is. The pain came and went for about 3 hours at different intensities. I have never felt something like this before - but at times it was so bad I couldnt move, talk, or breathe normally. For a little while I was thinking DH would have to pick me up from work, but then it went away.
ANy ideas what this might be? Ovulation? I am on CD 18. TIA

I guess it could be ovulation but if the pain was that intense than I doubt it was plain ovulation. I'm thinking it could possibly be an ovarian cyst (don't freak out, it's not uncommon and most time they dissolve by themsleves). Are you having any back pain too?

I am having back pain but I did a lot of yardwork yesterday - pulling up bushes and stuff. My back was killing me today

i've had the exact same thing you described
it comes in waves
usually on my right side
like a stabbing feeling
it went away after a few hours
weird, but i would assume harmless
maybe bring it up at your next gyn appt

YES - thats pretty much exactly how it was
could also be an appendix (spl) it can have the same symptoms when there is a problem (inflammation , etc....) I would call your dr if it happens again.
