First Appt after D&C for molar pregnancy
I have my first follow-up on Thursday from my D&C for a molar pregnancy. Can anyone tell me what to expect at this appointment? Do they do a sono? I know they will do bloodwork to ensure my numbers are going down. Anything else? I am so nervous. Thanks.

for my follow up the doctor checked my cervix and then ask if I was ready to try again and I told her no not for awhile and she asked if I needed any birthcontrol. That was it.

Did you have a molar pregnancy? You were allowed to try again that soon?

no I didn't, I am sorry i didn't realize I didn't say that. I was told to wait 2 or 3 cycles if I did want to TTC.. Because you have to allow time for your cycles to get normal again.

no I didn't, I am sorry i didn't realize I didn't say that. I was told to wait 2 or 3 cycles if I did want to TTC.. Because you have to allow time for your cycles to get normal again.
That is true. I waited 3 months after my first m/c in 2007 and went on to have a beautiful, healthy baby who is 2 now. I think the 3 months helped more for me mentally then physically but I think your body does need that time to recover. Have hope
Unfortunately with a molar you have to wait at least 6 months before getting the clear to try again.

You have to wait until your HCG numbers go down and also ensure the tissue does not grow back.
