So very confused about everything!!!!!!
As many of you know, a polyp was found in my uterus. I am scheduled for surgery May 4th. Today the dr. talked about preforming a hysteroscopy or a lap. I said to try the hysteroscopy first and if that is not workable then to do the lap. The lap is more invasive and requires a longer healing time. But, a lap could show any endometriosis (although this is doubtful b/c of the clear tubes) I just don't know.
Furthermore, the Endo put me back on metformin and the RE said he would have continued no met....W T F ? Then I read protocols of women on this board and I am wondering if the RE is too conservative.
I truly think I am going nuts!

Re: So very confused about everything!!!!!!
I forgot what the difference was between a Lap and a Hysteroscopy? I had a Lap done in December. I have severe Endometriosis and they ended up removing 4 large cysts (over 10cm) and I had Endo all over in very small amounts that they couldn't remove. My left ovary was fine, the right one had all the cysts and my tubes were completely clear and looked great. Healing was fairly easy. I was sore the first couple of days, but you can definitely walk around and stuff. I would think a Lap would be better if you're concerned with other issues that might be there. If not, then go with the hysteroscopy. I had a Lap because we knew about the Endometriosis, we just didn't know how bad it really was.
Good luck to which ever procedure you choose to get done!!! I know it's a hard a decision.
I also just wanted to mention about me having the clear tubes with Severe Endo. Just thought that might be helpful.
