Please let me rant
Going to try and make this short
Last month we ttc for the 1st time, only got to BD once but it was the 1st time he came in me
Within 2 days I had mild twinge like cramping on my lower left pelvic area, thought maybe I was preggo. Got AF right on time but still felt the fullness and bloat and twinges.
Went to dr. and they gave me zpack thinking it may be an infection. Also did a pelvic exam and everything looked good.
1 week later, still feeling it, called dr and they called me in a stronger antibiotic.
1 week later still feeling it went back to dr. and she sent me for a pelvic and abdominal sono (btw, this week was my fertile week so we were still BDing a lot and I did not have any pain during it)
Dr called with results and said it showed a cyst on right ovary, a ovulatory cyst on my left and signs of a UTI so she put me on a heavy duty, but ttc friendly antibiotic (this is #3 in a month)
So I have been on the new antibiotic for like 5 days and the last 2 days I have felt better but the feeling is back today with a vengance.
I am so sad and scared, I dont understand what id wrong. I do not think I have a UTI. I am going back to dr on thursday and this time I am seeing my dr not the nurse practitioner who I saw each time I was there this month.
I am just so scraed there is something really wrong and I googled my symptoms (not a good idea because now I think I have ovarian cancer)
I am sorry to ramble I am just in a bad place right now and I needed to get it all off my chest

Re: Please let me rant
google is bad, stay away from google. If you're so concerned schedule another appt. and have the dr. do a sonogram to take a look at ur ovaries again.
it might just very well be an infection that is taking some time to go away.
I hope you feel better hun

Re: Please let me rant
Web MD can make you nuts. Keep away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can type in "headache" as a symptom and "brain tumor" will come up as a possible diagnosis.
Don't worry until you go to the Dr. and they diagnose you. UTIs and kidney infections don't always respond well to all anti-biotics. There are different strains and different anti-biotics work for each strain. You sometimes need 3 weeks or more of heavy anti-biotics to get rid of it. They might keep you off them for a week then do a urine culture to see what strain it is.
Hang in there. All hope is not lost. You just started TTC. Try not to get too worried this early on

Re: Please let me rant
i'm sorry you are going through this. even if you are having cysts that seems very common and doesn't affect fertility. Yes the internet can be scary, but everything I found about cysts seemed pretty minor. Here is what I found: Ovarian cysts are actually pretty common. Most women develop at least one cyst during their childbearing years. The vast majority of uterine cysts are uncomplicated. These tend to go away on their own, without treatment. Women between the ages of 50 and 70 can also develop cysts, however, these cysts tend to be more dangerous and can sometimes indicate the beginning of ovarian cancer. For the majority of women, the presence of ovarian cysts has no impact on their ability to conceive. Typically, ovarian cysts remain small and don’t interfere with ovulation or conception. However, some cysts can indicate underlying conditions, which may inhibit your ability to become pregnant. If you have a lot of cysts, you may have polycystic ovarian syndrome, which can disrupt the normal cycle of ovulation, inhibiting pregnancy. Good luck this cycle!

Re: Please let me rant
lots of
As everyone has said, ovarian cysts are extremely common. Ovarian cancer is not, and they would have seen it on the sono. I am sure everything will be ok - go see the doctor, and before you go, write down all your symptoms and the timing and frequency of them so he/she has as much information as possible to figure out what is going on.
lots of good luck and feel better soon!!

Re: Please let me rant
I'm so sorry you are having to deal with all these issues especially during the first 2 months of TTC. I pray that on Thursday you are able to get some answers and a treatment plan so you can stop worrying about all this and focus on TTC.
Oh and like the others ladies said, stay away from google!

Re: Please let me rant
Thank you all so much, it really means a lot to me.
I am not even thinking about a BFP right now, I just want to know what is going on with me.
I have a dr appointment on Thursday afternoon so I will update you all after me.
Please just say a little prayer that everything will be okay. And while your praying you might as well throw in a BFP for me this month too
Thanks again, you guys are great
