Friday night to yourself...
What do you do?
DH is going to a concert, none of my friends are free to do anything. I mean, of course I could clean, do laundry, etc, but I don't feel like being home alone! So, any ideas?

Yeah, I'll probably wind up either at my Mom's or sister's house...maybe I can convince my sister to have a few drinks (After the 4 kids go to bed of course)!

I have a lot of times - mostly matinees though. No one will be paying any attention to who is with someone or not. I sometimes get more engrossed in the movie when I am alone.

B/c I've just moved I don't know that many people so I'd probably shop. Prior to my move I would have gone out with friends to a pub or for dinner.
ETA: I would also go and get a good mag or book and eat at Wagamama's or some noodle place or any restaurant where singles can dine.

I've gone to movies alone, doesn't bother me. I went to see a Madonna concert alone as a birthday present to myself!!
I'd catch up on reading and have a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate, and put my feet up and get my snuggie out!!

My DH is away...i just got home from work..looking forward to having the remote to myself...the couch to myself...and some snuggling with my dogs...I enjoy some "me" time every now & then!

I used to go to movies alone all the time! I love it!
I didn't have much of a choice in college -- I was a film major and my friends couldn't possibly go to every movie I had to go see.

Tx for all the suggestions. I did my errands, went to my sisters, we took the brood to dinner, then I hung out with her and the kiddies for a while. Went home, had a few Lemondrop-icedtea and vodkas and played farmville. I need a life!!

MY DH works a rotating schedule and I have spent many friday nights doing just this!! I actually look forward to it!

Probably the same thing I used to do when I was single and didnt have plans on a Friday night. Dinner in front of the TV, while watching Sex and the City reruns.

My husband works until 11pm and for that reason, I always work late and then run to the mall to shop until they close

Same here! My DH was away for work last night. I got "Couples Retreat" on-demand, had a glass of wine, and had a cuddle fest with the dog and cat. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

I have one Friday night a month to myself and I love it!
I always do what I did in my singleton days - watch my British shows on TV and have wine with lots of lovely cheese. DH would have no interest in a night like that.
