feeling like the odd ones out!

we befriended two other couples on our honeymoon and kept in touch with one (the other wasnt on facebook). well, the couple we kept in touch with posted a drink menu that was reminiscent of sandals, I commented, and so did the long-lost-couple. they facebook friended us... and I realize:

we're all married 1 year 8 months... and as per facebook, both of the other couples have daughters now! I'm still on the pill!

I'll admit we're a few years younger but... wow, we got left in the dust!

This is starting to happen to us too.
Married 3 years, No rush to have kids.
People we know married a year after us (or more!) already have babies or are pregnant.
I don't know why I always find it so surprising (since plenty of people get pregnant right after their weddings), but I always do... probably because the past few years went by SO fast. I still think of myself as a newlywed, I feel like I JUST got married!

Eh, it happens.

We are a t a point where most of our friends are getting married this year...so the babies boom hasn't started yet

Fortunately all of our friends are either engaged, in a relationship or single. Its the family thats the problem!

We've been to 9 weddings since our own 5 years ago, and 4 of those couples have kids now. I don't keep in touch with any more ( so I don't know if they have kids) & the 2 were less than a year ago, so that just leaves 2 other CF couples.
