Has anyone done a IUI with Dr. B?
Good Afternoon Ladies, Just giving you an update to my story. The blood work came back in from Dr. B's office and I"m a little nervous. I have RDS, blood clotting issues, signs of Lupus coupled with killer cells. I explained to Dr. B that we dont have the money to do IVF and would like to try a iui with him. He wants to put me on prednisone and lovenox to help. Has anyone ever tried to a iui with Dr.B and these two medications? I'm very excited but the DH is worried about the prescriptions. Can someone tell me what they went though being on these medications?

Re: Has anyone done a IUI with Dr. B?
I have had many IUI's with Dr. B but never with those specific meds. I have been on femara, gonal F, ovidrel and progesterone.
Either way, you are in great capable hands and will be just fine. I know taking meds can be scary. The only thing i had taken before all this was advil, now im shooting up my tummy in the dark, half awake. I know you feel overwhelmed, but i am SURE whatever Dr. B prescribed for you, is what you need.
Oh, and IUI's are a snap, fear not! It's like a pap! Over in 2 minutes! Keep us updated!
I wish you the best of luck!!!!

Re: Has anyone done a IUI with Dr. B?
I have been on Prednisone for a couple months now (only 10mg a day) and really the only side effects I have are water retention and having to go to the bathroom more frequently. And the lovenox (a blood thinner) was an injection and I had no side effects from that, the only thing is that the injection site stings for a minute or two after it is administered.
Feel free to FM me if you have any questions.
Best of luck to you!!!!

You are in good hands!!! Now with the right treatment you will get your BFP Soon!!! I am keeping you in my prayers!!!!!
With the Lovenox, it really isn't painful at all. I always Ice for a minute before I inject and then for a minute after I take it out. I think it helps to minimize the bruising and takes away the burning/stinging sensation that is common with Lovenox ( only last about a minute or two) but if you ice it wont be a problem.
I would even post on Pregnacy about Girls who had sucess with DR Braverman. There are a tons of graduates who he has helped!!
Goodluck!

Re: Has anyone done a IUI with Dr. B?
I had two cycles of back-to-back IUIs with Dr. B.. the first month didn't work, and the second month I went on Lovenox and it worked and now have a beautiful boy. I love Dr B!
