Any Hairdressers on here? And Recs needed for the Carle Place/Mineola/Hicksville area!
I have gone to the same woman for haircuts for about 7 years. Love her, but she's in Queens and is always super busy, so it's just not convenient anymore.
In February I went to a woman at the same salon that I go to for other things. Love the salon, and I liked the girl who cut my hair, but I didn't love the cut. At first it looked cute, but I quickly noticed a lot of knots, and where I used to have layers my hair looks a bit feathered or sheered (like it's all different lengths and looks super frizzy).
I have a second appointment with the same woman for this weekend, but now I wonder whether I should just try a new place.
Can anyone recommend a great stylist in the areas listed above? I have medium-long thickish hair (which I think is where this 'new' person went a little wrong).
TIA!!!!!

I use Amela at MGM hair studio on Old country road in think thats still westbury, but it could be Hicksville. I use to have someone i loved but she left the salon i was at and i spent about 2 years trying different places. Finally, I asked a friend who had beautiful hair and she recommend MGM and i have been very happy so far.
