BCP and IVF
Is it common to take BCP during an IVF cycle? I've read a lot of places that it is however my RE isn't putting me on them.

I've been on BCP for the past 2-3 weeks but I think I've read that not everyone takes it.

I just emailed my Dr. to see why some are on and some aren't. Thanks for the responses ladies!
I only have one shot at this with my insurance so I'm getting a bit neurotic..

I was put on it for only 2 weeks, to regulate my cycle.

I had a regular cycle but I was on BCP for 3 weeks to start out IVF.

I was put on them for a couple of weeks before starting injectables. My Re said it was to supress the ovaries so they would respond better to the injectables.

i did one cycle with and one without. I think it depends on the protocol and the clinic. I think clinics that work on specific schedules probably do it more.
