Bouncers and Slydos: Beware!
For those who haven't been...it's fun! There's a giant rubber slide that's about 50 stories high--and it's oiled down big-time. So, down you go really fast until you start to lose control at the bottom; your body may tilt over. At this point your arm may slide down the rubber at about 400 mph causing a burning sensation; you may lose some skin. You may wake up 3 days later with your elbow still looking like this... Or am I the only one?!
But really, Bouncers and Slydos is so much fun. Just beware of that slide!

No, you are not the only one. DH got an "injury" like that at Pump it Up and DD got one at Jump.
I think a good PSA would be to wear lpants and long sleeves when going to one of the places!
No wonder the make you sign a waiver before you go in!

Re: Bouncers and Slydos: Beware!
I love moon bounces, and I think these indoor moon bounce places rock; however when I was at Once Upon a Treetop the girls were telling me that ambulances are there 1-2x's/week and I can totally see why.

Re: Bouncers and Slydos: Beware!
Wow, I was going to do DS's birthday party there but between the waivers and the bruises...I think I will stick with Once Upon A Treetop! Thanks for the info.

Re: Bouncers and Slydos: Beware!
It's not just the scrapes you need to worry about. It's the management, too.
We booked a party with them and had several conversations indicating a Saturday time slot. The contract, regrettably, indicated Saturday but had the wrong date (25th instead of 24th). Although the time reserved from our phone conversations should have been on Saturday (the 24th), apparently they waited for the contract before even booking our slot and then reserved Sunday instead without questioning the discrepance. Only days before the party was supposed to take place did we actually learn of their error. We then had to scramble for another location. Then, after being told we would get our deposit refunded, we were given the runaround for three weeks before finally being told that they changed their mind and were keeping our deposit.
If you have a party to book, go somewhere else. There are plenty of great bouncy places on LI where the employees are more competent and the management is more upstanding and reputable.
