staring at the towel....
and thinking about throwing it in....As always I'm trying to keep some perspective, I know the first few days after AF arrives are the hardest but I'm losing it. This is our 11mo, and although we had some challenges (remember that broken foot?) I actually ovulated and thought just maybe it could happen!! DH and I have made and cancelled appointments with REs, the bottom line is he doesn't want to go, he says we can't afford it, thats BS but he won't talk about it, if I push the issue he huffs and says "whatever makes you happy"...... I'm starting to think ladies that this is most definately not making me happy. Maybe this just isn't meant to be for us, but just the thought of that is heartbreaking.....idk, just venting I guess thanks for reading...

Re: staring at the towel....
Just wondering, why would your DH not want to see an RE? Oh my gosh, after 11 months it may be just what you need. Seeing an RE was the best decision I ever made. After months of TTC on our own and getting nowhere we were pregnant in only 3 months after seeing the RE. I feel so bad for you. I know how disheartening it can be to keep trying and not get anywhere. I would really press the issue with your DH. What's the other option?............no children potentially?? I hope that everything works out for you.

Re: staring at the towel....
I'm so sorry you're having such a tough time. I'm not sure which RE you've considered seeing but East Coast Fertility (that's where I'm going) offers a grant through the NYS Department of health. They have some info about it on their website. It only covers IVF but maybe if DH knows there could be financial assistance if you have to go with the most expensive treatment he'd be more willing to see an RE.
I can understand where he is coming from though, it is scary to invest so much money on something that has such little guarantee. It wasn't something DH and I entered into lightly and not something we would have started until both of us were 100% on board. In the end we both decided that the debt we'll be in won't seem so bad once we have that LO to love.
I hope you and DH can come to a resolution that you can both be happy with and live with. I would try to explain to him that you wouldn't want him to do something he wasn't comfortable with to appease you but that you also expect the same courtesy from him.
I wish you the best in whatever decision you and DH make. Remember we are all here to help you through it as best we can!

Re: staring at the towel....
thank you so much ladies, I really can't tell you guys what it means to have you all to go to for support. I'm honestly not sure what DH's issue is, he says its financial but I question that. I'm just tired today, and well....defeated. I'll bounce back, and truth be told in my heart of hearts I plan on being a mother one day, wether its with or without him. I have made his wants and needs a priority from day one, and I've repeatedly let my own needs be put aside but this is one I can't bend on. Its just one of those things that can make you want to scream, punch and weep all at the same time..![Chat Icon](c/45.gif)
by the way East Coast is one of the ones I've talked to, I'll tell him about the grant, you never know it might ease his mind. thanks!
