Ideas for an engagement party
Hi All,
My sister is trying to plan a casual engagement party for this summer. She originally had wanted a backyard waterfront party but that didn't work out as planned. She has been visiting quite a number of places, but we are trying to steer clear of a formal reception hall. She doesn't want a sit down dinner. Ultimately, she would like a outdoor/indoor place that can offer a buffet and bar with a fun, trendy and casual atmosphere. Any ideas? We are having so much trouble deciding.

I love the idea of a cocktail party, with heavy appetizers and drinks! Where are they thinking of having it- Nassau or Suffolk and how much do they want to or not want to spend?

The pavilion at the Snapper Inn. If you do hors d'oeveurs and bar it would probably be pretty reasonable. Also they will bargain
