Ladies PG with twins

I girls. I found out yesterday that i am PG with twins. My Dr said everything looks great. The Heart beats were great. I am 7 weeks. I had my first sonogram yesterday and i bled afterwards. The Dr. said that was totally normal to bleed and it was definitely from the sono. There was a little bit of tissue here and there. Nothing major but every once in a while when i go to the bathroom. It's stopping not but i had it all day yesterday. And when i say a little bit, it's really very little tissue. I was just wondering if any of you experienced this after a sono and went on to continue with normal healthy pregnancies. I just need a little more reassurance :) TIA!

CONGRATS!! I found out I was pregnant w/ fraternal twins at 6w 4d and the sono tech was explaining the vanishing twin syndrome- totally freaked me out, everything went well, currently 35 weeks pregnant Chat Icon Chat Icon To answer your question, no I never did bled, however it is very common and vaginal discharge of some sort is common - don't worry!

Thank you! I am praying that both stick! Our Dr. told us to be careful with telling people that we are having twins because it's still early and anything can happen. But he said h felt really good about this. I was also nervous because they are both measuring right on target but in the sono 1 sac is smaller than the other. Maybe 1/2 the size. But i guess that is normal? I go back in 2 weeks for another sono.

Congratulations!!!!!

When I was pregnant with my DD it was not uncommon for me to have bleeding after sonograms... even late into my pregnancy, after some sonograms I would bleed.

It's scary, but it does happen. Chat Icon

Thank you! Did you have a little tissue in your bleeding as well?

ETA: That's the only part that freaks me out a little. i kind of expected the bleeding but the tissue? I didn't expect that.

My doctor told me the same thing about not telling anyone and he also said that he believed that the twins would continue to grow- he had a good feeling. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
