vehicle inspection this morning...
I just dropped my car off before coming into work this morning bc my inspection expired back in march and I just noticed yesterday!  I know, my observation skills are lacking - I'm just lucky I didn't get pulled over! I left it at the gas station up the street from my job and I just hate doing these things, bc immediately I feel like a moron. I don't know why this always happens. I'm not stupid, but every time I go into a car service place, I think everyone who works there assumes I'm an idiot. Sure enough, while taking down my car's info, the guy asks what year it is and I totally blank. I know what year my car is, but I just woke up about 40 minutes ago and my brain didn't compute the question. Doh! Now I feel really dumb, and to make it even worse, the guy is a freggin mush mouth and I can't understand a single word he says! So every time he asks something, I have to ask him to repeat himself! So, after all that - I asked him to not take the sticker off the car until it's passed inspection (which it should do since there's nothing wrong with the car) and he looks at me like I have 10 heads! I only asked this bc last time Craig took his car to a gas station for an inspection, they removed the sticker first, then told him it failed bc he needed a headlight realignment or some crap  Since they already took the sticker off, he had to get the work done to get his inspection - 90 bucks later!! So, I didn't want that happening to me and mentioned it upfront... The guy tells me as long as my check engine light isn't going off, it should pass, and if anything comes up they'll call me before taking the sticker off. Hopefully I won't get a phone call and can just pick up my car later. RGH, I hate feeling like that!! On a much happier note, one of my co-workers just stopped me in the hallway to tell me she thinks my new hair cut is adorable  so I feel a little better now!

Don't feel bad, i forgot my phone number once when dropping my car off. Felt like total idiot. These things happen
