Ladies, PLEASE Help Me Better Understand This:) Re: The Labs Closing For Vacation and Cycle Dates

I'm having a FET. I am due for AF by end June. I was told today that the lab at East Coast is closing from July 11th-July 31st. Which means, if I didn't get AF by July 10th at the latest, I couldn't cycle unless it came REALLY late, after August 1st. So, between July 11th and July 31st you cannot cycle.

Well, here is my question. Sorry if it's dumb, but I am confused and as much as East Coast Nurses tried explaining it to me, I am just NOT comprehending:)

If I get my period anytime between the next week and July 10th I can cycle but then my transfer would be during the July 10th-July 31st time frame. If my lab closes after July 10th then how will they get my embies to thaw?

Maybe this does make sense then?


DR:
when you get your period, call office and speak with IVF nurse to find out if it's ok to start. the lab is not closed 7/10-7/31. i think she meant cannot start a frozen cycle 7/10-7/31 due to the IVF lab being closed in early august.


Anyone?

It sounds like the lab is closed in August, not July.
