Has anyone had brown spotting during early pregnancy?

A few days ago, I noticed some light brown spotting. No cramps were associated with the spotting. I got nervous and just took it easy.

Everyday after that, it has been normal. I noticed some brown spots on my underwear tonight and when I went to pee, more brown spotting. when I wiped. I am very scared that this could be a miscarriage. Should I call me dr? Is this normal? please help or share your experience with this?

I had brown spotting at the beginning too. I was around 6 weeks. I had it for like 2-3 days. I called the doctor and they had me come in early for my first appt. They did a sono and everything looked good. We even saw the heartbeat. I was 6 weeks 4 days. The doc said brown blood is old blood. It went away and now I am 32 weeks.

brown spotting is VERY normal! i had some in the very begning and then again around 10 weeks i think.... its very very normal!

Anything brown is old blood, so it shouldn't be anything to stress about. But, you should call your doc just to make sure all is well.

I had a subchorionic hematoma that resulted in lots of bleeding (from 5wks - 15wks)...and some of it was brown spotting. Everything is fine with my babies, it was just scary.

I would just say to take it easy until you talk with your doc. It helped me a lot to stay off my feet and rest.

I had brown blood spotting from about 6.5 weeks to 9.5 weeks. It made me very nervous. I called my doctor and had a second sonogram - already had a first one at 6 weeks - and all was well. I am now 22 weeks. I would always suggest calling your doctor for piece of mind.

I am very early in my pregnancy, probably about 4.5 weeks. I got my BFP on Saturday, but I've had brown spotting since last Wednesday! I called me doctor yesterday, and she is going to have me come in today and Thursday to check my beta, and I have a sono scheduled for the middle of next week. She told me that some spotting can be normal in early pregnancy. I would always call your doctor for peace of mind, though.

Brown Spotting is old blood, I wouldn't worry. Spotting is very common through out pregnancy. At 10 weeks i had red spotting for a day, and everything was ok with my LO.

I had brown spotting in the beginning and then around 18 weeks or so.

I now have a 6 month old.

I had it very early on and then again for a day around 7 weeks or so. I mentioned it to the dr. and he said it was normal. If I had anymore he said I could call and come in for a sono just to check, but haven't had it again since.

I don't want to scare you at all b/c it could be fine, but I miscarried in winter at 6 weeks and it started with brown spotting; when I went for sono there was only a sac and no fetal pole. it was a blighted ovum which was so common and now i'm preggo again. of course, this could be NOTHING but i believe in being honest so yes, I would call the doc and just get it looked at. i had no cramps and felt fine. it was very minimal brown spotting as well.

Brown is ok. It is usually just old blood.
