Wedding Hall/Room in Nassau...even suffolk
I have an emergency situation where I need a hall for 200 people for a wedding. I have all the catering, music, etc...I just need table and chairs and a room to accomodate us.
I have 1 month to do this...if anyone can suggest a place, preferable nearest garden city and working outward, I would be most grateful!

have you called local hotels? they usually have large ballrooms/conference rooms

Garden City Casino in Garden City...beautiful place, had my engagement party there years ago. I believe you can bring food in too, not 100% on that though.
Here is their number- (516) 742-8184...it is on Cathedral Avenue in Garden City.

Check LIW and craiglist.org.
Unfortunately, some girls have to cancel their weddings or have relatives that do and unless the hall is booked they don't get their deposits back.
You'd be surprised how many halls have last minutes dates. Whatever you do don't sound desperate when negotiating with them or they will jack up the price on you. If you sound calm, cool and collected you just might get a great deal because they just want to book the room.

Try the Stewart Manor Country Club in Stewart Manor (which is right next to Garden City).
I had my wedding there and they were excellent.

Hotels for sure.
Try some of the local wedding places. Does it have to be a weekend? maybe a Thursday would work out.
