Post Partum Belts
Is anyone planning on using one and does it actually work?
Also, is there a difference between the kind that goes over your hips and the one that wraps around your belly?
over hips
over belly

Re: Post Partum Belts
I was going to borrow my friends, but my ob told me to get tight grandma panties that are high, so I did. He also said if I was bf, that would tighten things up quickly, and owwwww..everytime he latches, I feel like I'm in labor all over again, lol.

Re: Post Partum Belts
I forgot I was supposed to e-mail you. The one that I was talking about the other day was the over the hips one. From the ad i saw in the parenting magazine - it said you must use it within the first 8 weeks post partum because that is when the hormone relaxin is still in your system

Re: Post Partum Belts
If anyone is interested in the belly bandit, I have a nude size small one that I never used that I would be willing to sell.

LOL - I forgot that you were going to email me too. Can you send me the info? It was so nice to catch up with you last night! Can't wait for our "movie" night!
I'm going to ask my doctor about these belts tomorrow and let you guys know what her take in on them as well.

Re: Post Partum Belts
I bought the belly bandit and i see a major difference in my tummy already. I was running 6 days a week pre-pregnancy and had a flat tummy so obviously its gona take some time but, it seems to be helping :)
I bought a small and it fit tight after i gave birth and now its fitting nicely :)

I got my belly bandit and I love it! Obviously, it doesn't fit me yet but I got the bamboo one and it seems soft and comfortable. I am definitely going to try it - hope it works!

yup! Actually, in Italy, when my cousins give birth (either way) they get one of these to bring home with them from the hospital. That is why I think they are safe to use, even though it remains to be seen if they actually work.

I spoke to my doctor about these belts last night and she said that they are highly recommended after a C Section. She said she does not see a difference in using one after a vaginal birth. She also said that I - in the event that I have a CS - I can request that the nurses in the hospital give me a similar belt during my hospital stay.

Re: Post Partum Belts
If anyone is delivering at South Nassau, they actually give you one similar to the belly bandit. I wore it with DS & it did work. I plan on wearing it again this time around & when I shrink down far enough, granny panties with the firm panel
