J&A Islandwide or Fifth Ave. Paving
Anyone have experience with either? Would you recommend or not?

J&A did our neighbors driveway - looks like they did a nice job. We had them come for an estimate on ours. (they were ultimately our 2nd choice, but they gave a very fair price).
I'm not familiar with Fifth Avenue

The contractor we used for the pavers "contracted out" to J&A for the driveway. We got blacktop. It is a complete mess. They did a horrible job. They sent someone to come and fix it and it's worse. You would not know this if you were to driveby or even walk by but we use the driveway daily and can see the mess.

we went with Above All (for the masonry job). They sub-contracted our driveway to Pioneer Paving
