Co-worker
never goes food shopping..she's a single woman. She loves all of my snacks. I bring breakfast, lunch and snacks in.
She eats my snacks and then asks me to but them for her when I food shopping.
If that's not annoying enough, she asked me how much something was so I said, I don't know, maybe 2 or 3 bucks.
She she gives me 2 bucks.
Now if I was asking someone to do me a favor and get something for me I would have given them a 5 or more to cover it.
She says she never sees these things in her store.
She's full if it, She never goes to the store.

Re: Co-worker
Can you hide them in a different drawer in your desk or in a bag under your desk? Does she sit right next to you?
That's very annoying.

Re: Co-worker
Right next to me. We can hear each other breathing.
She just asked me if I have any ideas what she should have for lunch.

No one can take advantage of you unless you let them.
Tell her the grocery store is closed & she needs to bring in her own things.

I pretty much did. Then she admitted that she should write these things down when she goes to the supermarket.
She always borrows my cuticle nippers too. I've put them in a second drawer just for her and mine are in a different place. YUCK.
I'm trying to play nice in the sandbox since her boss loves her.
She is useless. The reason they love her is because I walk her through everything. So she ends up looking efficient.

you need to stop being so nice...She needs to work for herself, once you slowly move away from being so "available" to her at work (not just the snacks), she will learn to work on her own.
good luck!

and she's not a kid. We had a tragedy in the office recently and she was commissioned to get something for the family. She didn't know what to do. She couldn't figure it out. She worked on it all day. It was a fruit basket, flowers and a food platter from a local deli.
5pm on Friday she was still trying to figure it out, texting me..etc..
I left the office early so she was on her own.
