for those who are full time...
how do you deal with missing a lot of the babies day? now that my daughter Maddy is starting to really start doing new things, its getting harder and harder to be away from her. we can't afford for me to stop working, but at the same time its just getting so hard. how do you cope?

I make sure I get every detail from daycare about what he did during the day. I also just make the weekends about him and spend as much time as I can with him. Its not easy.

me too. Ian is in daycare 11 hours a day. hes there more than he sees me!! but i cherish the time i have with him even more. on weekends, you cant get him out of my arms. but i know daycare is good for him. hes learning so much more than i can do for him. they talk him how to hold a bottle at 6 months! i wouldnt have even know where to start.

Like Linda said...
I make the most of the weekends. I take both kids to daycare and pick them up and use that time to interact with them as well...we talk and sing songs. I usually give both kids a bath and DH and I rotate who puts down which child each night. My older son gets stories and we talk about his day...the baby is rocked to sleep (he's so exhausted by the end of the day).
I live for the weekends with them and as fall rolls around we have a lot of activities (apple picking, pumpking picking, etc)
