HELP - 14 month old son keeps leaking EVERYWHERE overnight

My 14 month old son just recently started leaking overnight. We switched to Huggies Overnights and he is leaking through his PJ's onto his crib sheet. He does sleep 11-12 hours. What do I do?

What is his weight? My guy was pretty hefty and I did start with Huggies overnights size 6 but had leakege problems too. I switched to GoodNites overnight diapers never had a problem with them at all. I posted a link the other day you will get a free sample in the mail and coupon.

We use the Pampers overnights and haven't had a problem since we started using them... we have a girl though.

Make sure his penis is facing down too.

Other than that, I don't know what to tell ya. Good luck! Chat Icon

Re: HELP - 14 month old son keeps leaking EVERYWHERE overnight

My guy is tiny...he is 14 months & wears 12 months still. He is a size 3 diaper but the only overnights I could find were a size 4...could that be the problem? I know he has been drinking a lot more water around dinner & then he gets his bottle right before bed...not sure what to do!

I would up the size. I know I had a hard time finding Huggies size 6. I would call Target ahead of time to ask them if they had the size in stock and would tell them to hold it for me. I always seemed to find them at Target and Kmart. I would up the size. The goodnites start at 38 pounds.

Babies r us used to sell diaper doublers it is like the big maxi's that they give you in the hosptial. I used to put them in my sons diaper at night and they used to work like a charm.

Try fisher price PM diapers. They are amazing and pretty cheap. You can only get them from BRU and i think there have like 20 in a pack for less then $6.

Re: HELP - 14 month old son keeps leaking EVERYWHERE overnight

maybe the amount of liquid he is getting is contributing to it (it has been so darn hot and humid lately)... try to stop drinks a hour or so earlier... my DS drinks most of his drinks morning and afternoon and i try to slow him down around 4-5... and limit the drinks at dinner.. he still gets his usual milk amount b4 bed...

try that... if that doesnt work - experiment with brands... i too like huggies, but i tried pampers, just wasnt the best for us..

i think size 4 is right for your little guy too (my DS is in 4 and is 18 months, wearing 24 m clothes)..

good luck!

Hi Kelly, Jack is the same size & turned 15 months today. He was leaking through for a while also. I up'd his size & he's in Pampers Baby Dry size 4 & he's been okay. I make sure I change him immediately before bed. (he gets a bottle right at bedtime as well).

Have you tried other diapers/ DD was wearing Huggies and literally every morining she woke up SOAKING wet, through her pjs, sheets, mattress cover. I use the Pampers Sensitive with 12-hour protection. They are not Dry-max, I'm afraid to use those bc of the big rash controversy

Exactly what I was going to say. The only ones that actually work for DD. Lifesavers

We go up a size in overnights (size 5) and double them. I cut a slit in the front of one and put that one on first and then put another one on top of that one. It works because DS sleeps 12 hours at night too!
