career help
One of my bestest friends is going through a tough time. He hasn't been able to get into a career. He is a high school graduate. He has taken so many civil service exams and applied at a few unions but so far nothing has worked out. He has taken
cout officer
suffolk police
zoning inspector
parking enforcement
correction officer
correction officer trainee
he has also applied at the plumbers union but was not selected for this year.
He is unable to obtain a CDL so trucking positions are out.
I've been wracking my brain trying to think of ideas. He lives in Nassau but is willing to work in NYC, Queens, Suffolk, Brooklyn etc.
he also isnt looking into attending college. He would prefer manual labor or civil service
do you girls have any ideas?

What about a flight attendant. 
Maybe a group home? (Just need HS education for that).
I hate to say it, but in these days and times, one really needs to pursue a college education to even get a foot in the door for an entry-level job.

my friend recently went to work for the iron workers union..he had jobs in Queens & on LI...good pay...i think there is a test for that as well..not sure...good luck...civil service stuff takes forever...i am being canvassed for the 3rd time from a test from 2007
