Oh Boy
So just had a first 5 week sono this morning. And the doctor gave us a 90% chance of twins.
EEEEEkkkkk - im excited everything looks great so far but so nervous!!
A little worried about possible medical issues, etc
any advice on what to expect the coming months

congrats!! 
twins are such a blessing, i can't imagine having only one.
you will probably get a handful of sono's and follow up with your RE until he/she relelases you .. do you plan on seeing a Perinatologist for the twins?

Congrats!!!
My twins are 12 days old and just AWESOME!
The pregnancy was pretty "normal" for me... until I reached 34 weeks. Thats when it started to get tough with pre-term labor and then pre-eclampsia and severe swelling. The twins were born at 36w6d and doing great. I have already lost 57lbs (mostly swelling I assume) and feel great as well.

Thanks Girls.
Julz - that is amazing that everything went smooth to 34 weeks.
Im a little concerned with the extra weight gain. Im pretty small framed (5'4" & 110lbs soaking wet) so i cant imagine carrying an extra 40-50 lbs in my belly. I might tip over!!!
We are definitely going to go to a high risk ob, I have Crohns disease as well & am on meds for that so there is now another reason for me to go highrisk.
Im excited for two, i think it will be lots of fun. Just nervous for the pregnancy obviously!!

Not to scare you, i was 5'3" and 115lbs pre pregnancy. The day I had them I weighed 190 lbs!!! But they are 13 days old and I am already down to 132.

Ha - good work not scaring me!!!
It sounds like we are about the same size. Did you have a hard time carrying the extra weight? do u think u were more uncomfortable then most prego women?

Yes, much more uncomfortable. At 30 weeks with the twins I felt more uncomfortable than I did at 42 weeks with DC#1. But it was worth it, I would do it all over again without hesitation.
I am so happy for you! Keep us updated after your next sono!
