Birthday party ideas - PLEASE HELP!!!

So I am looking for individual birthday party ideas for each of my children. My daughter will be 9 and my son will be 13. Their birthdays are in Oct/Nov so it will have to be an indoor facility.

We have already done the following in previous years:

Chuck E. Cheese
Boomers
Jump
Laser tag
Build-A-Bear

I have been racking my brain and I am coming up with nada, zilch, zero - PLEASE HELP!!

There's a very helpful birthday party thread over on Parenting. Some of the ideas are also for older ones...

Maybe try a search? I'm prettty sure it was last up within the month...

Re: Birthday party ideas - PLEASE HELP!!!

We did dodgeball party for Robbie at ISA in Sayville a few years ago. The party included the refs for the sport (you could also choose capture the flag if you preferred), video game tokens and they even had 2 bounce castles set up for the younger kids. It was a great time.

We attended a party at a skate park last year and the kids went crazy - you could bring your bike or skateboard.

My gf did a 50's sock hop for her daughter a few years ago and it was amazing. All the kids dressed in their best 50's gear .. adorable.

Maybe the movie theatre?

Good luck!

Michaels craft store for your DD.

we had a party for my DD there a few years ago. Minimum was 8 kids and you had to bring in the pizza & cake/cupcakes.

My friend just held her 10 year old's birthday party at:
Island Rock (rock climbing)

it was a huge hit. Adults were able to give it a try too.

Only thing I would suggest is to bring your own cupcakes or cake - theirs wasn't so good (cupcakes were refridgerated & not fresh).

Re: Birthday party ideas - PLEASE HELP!!!

There's a United Skates roller rink in Massapequa and my niece just had her 10th bday party there and it was a hit. The rink is a blast from the past as in I don't think they have done much to it since the 80's but it's clean and fun.

Re: Birthday party ideas - PLEASE HELP!!!

Definitely check out the movie theater - it's cheap and if you book early enough, you can get invites out which forewarns people not to go see the movie.

Elwood does it, not sure who else

We just went to a United Skates party too! Great time.

I always see the sign up at the Elwood theater and think that is a great idea!

Re: Birthday party ideas - PLEASE HELP!!!

Last year for Jordan's 9th Bday, she invited 5 friends(plus her). We got a hotel room at the Hampton Inn. The kids swam in the pool(alot of the time), we had pizza and snacks in the room. We painted nails, played games(girly stuff) and watched a movie. We had free breakfast in the morning and swam till 11am. It was a BLAST!!!! Jordan said it was her best party ever and wants to do it again this year.
