Anyone having trouble resetting their new password? Mine expired yesterday and I am trying everything under the sun and its not working

ugh yea this happens to be all the time. it only lets me reset my password from one specific computer in my school. god only knows why. it's the worst email system ever

I always call. But they told me last time to click the link on the bottom of the home page...to reset the pw.

There was an email midweek that said on friday everyone would have to change their password. The password guidelines have changed to be more sensitive, i think you have to have at least 6 characters with a mixture of letters and numbers or symbols.

Dear Colleagues,



The Department of Education has been asked by the City of New York to comply with the standard Citywide Password Policy. As a result, please note that the DOE password policy has changed. Effective Friday, August 18, DOE Outlook passwords must adhere to the standards below:



· Passwords are required to be at minimum 8 characters long

· A password can contain any of the following 4 character types:

o Capital Letters (ABCD.)

o Lower case letters (abcd.)

o Numbers (1234.)

o Non-Alphanumeric characters (!&%@*...)

· The Department of Education REQUIRES that a password contain characters from at least 3 of the 4 character types listed above. An example of a complex password: NewYork!280

· Your password CANNOT contain your first name, last name, or login ID.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY. This policy takes effect the NEXT time your password expires according to the standard 90-day password expiration cycle.

So I figured it out... it doesn't work on my Mac, but on a regular PC it worked no problem....

I always have to call the Help desk when I have trouble resetting mine.
