How P.O.'d would you be about this....

Due to family issues, we have had to leave Misty with friends when we go to CT this year.
So, we left her with my close friend of 20 years on July 4th weekend for 2 days. Brought her home and all was fine. She got a puppy, so when we went back up on July 16th we left her with a different friend (DH's longtime friend).
LAST NIGHT, he "mentions" to me that Misty had fleas when she went to his house. He was scratching two days after she was with him. He tells me he bombed his house and sprayed her down with flea spray.
Now....I'm not even sure he's telling me the truth. And if he is...how did we not get fleas in the house for that 12 days and why would he not tell me when I picked Misty up? I have a baby and a cat - you don't mention the dog had fleas. And if he's lying - why? Does he not want me to leave the dog with my gf anymore?
I'm just so frustrated by this whole thing....and of course a month later I'm inspecting my dog and cat for fleas

That is sooo weird!!!

Even IF he sprayed her, it would not have killed all the fleas on her. She would still have some on her, and still likely be scratching.

Why do you think he is lying? That's so weird!!

I would be so annoyed b/c of the cat and the baby, and GOD knows what crap he put on your dog. I would get to the bottom of it asap.

I think he's lying because she was home for 10 days between visits and we NEVER saw a flea on her or saw her scratching. You've know what kind of dog she is, she has the shortest hair in the world and none on her belly which is where the fleas would be.
Of course, the problem is going to be that if I challenge his story, he's going to swear up and down that he's telling the truth. I already spoke to my GF about it (we were actually watching her dog this weekend and she picked the dog up yesterday) and she has not had
fleas in her house for years...I remember her getting them about 15 years ago.
I really think he may have done it cuz he wants to watch the dog, but there's no way in h*ll he's getting my dog again after this.
