The thought of food disgusts me....

Specifically any time of meat....I know this will go away in the 2nd trimester (hopefully), but eating lunch and dinner lately makes me want to gag. I have been loving salads, veggies and fruits, but I need to know what other choices there are out there to get protein, etc. I have eggs on the weekend can't eat those everyday.

Ah, trail mix....good idea, but does it have peanuts in it (or do they have other mixes)? My OB and Allergist want my intake of peanuts to be 1-2x/week at the most.

What about almonds or cheese? Throw them on top of a salad. The thought of any food makes me ill and my OB said the prenatls have enough protein that you should be ok.

You can try Egg beaters, they have protein but are so much better for you than real eggs.

I'm in the same boat. I can't even look at chicken without wanting to gag. I've been living off of yogurt and peanut butter. I've also been throwing almonds and sunflower seeds into salads.

I was going to write the same thing about chick peas. I eat them all the time....Also try kidney beans in your salads.

Re: The thought of food disgusts me....

I've been off put by meat this so far. Since I was a vegetarian for almost 10 years, I know how to supplement. The best way is soy protein and beans. Eggs are good but they can get very old, very quick. Morningstar Farms has great options, for those that do not have the time to make meals with tofu.

I hope this helps.

Re: The thought of food disgusts me....

I had a meat aversion my entire first pregnancy. It did not go away until after DS was born
