just got a call to confirm my 1st appt
and just to be sure I asked if they were going to do a sono and the receptionist said "no"!!  I don't understand, they make you wait forever for an appt and then they don't even do a sono?! I'll be 7 1/2 weeks and we've been so looking forward to this and having the sono so we would know everything is okay and then we were going to tell family and now we have to WAIT AGAIN!! The receptionist said I would make an appt for the following week! Why don't they do it all at once?! I don't get it and I'm so upset, frustrated, bummed out

that stinks - I know a lot of docs don't do a sono until 8 wks. Another option is to switch docs. GL either way!

With DS mine did the same thing. Appt 1 was more a intro appt, did a pap etc.
Then a week later I had my sono.
In my old OBs office they didnt have a sono person on staff so they had a sono person come 1x a week.

my doctor wouldn't do one until 8 weeks, so I didn't even go IN until then. Why are they seeing you beforehand if they're not even going to do a sono?

My first appt was just to confirm I was pregnant and to get the bloodwork going and the pap. My second appt (2 weeks later) was for the sono. We found out at the sono that we were only just barely 6 weeks, and we thought we were going on 9 weeks. I guess they have reasons!
