IF Diet
Once you discovered you had IF issues....did any of you change your diet?
I have read to stay away from caffeine.
Thanks to Ana6178, I will be reading this book for my fibroids: Healing Fibroids: A Doctor's Guide to a Natural Cure By Allan Warshowsky
What are you doing differently?

Re: IF Diet
I tried, really I did -- I shopped at WHole Foods (and stopped at McD's on the way home)... I rejoined WW (but haven't been keeping track of the points).... I am drinking less alcohol. I have 1 cup of coffee a day and that hasn't changed. I try to be more conscious of what I eat but sometimes...I have no willpower at all.
I am taking a yoga class, and go for acupuncture, and take herbs and raspberry leaf tea. I go occassionally for amma massage. But....I still haven't lost the weight...

Re: IF Diet
For me, I am really concerned of high estrogen in my body. I am having my myomectomy to remove the fibroids....but, I don't want them to grow back at an accelerated rate. Does anyone else on here have fibroids?
So far, I am going to stay away from dairy...(but I will try rice milk), edamames, caffeine, and try to consume less meat (or try the organic).
I know that it is going to be difficult for me as well. I am going to start buying organic. I am so weak when it comes to Food. Especially, because I love cooking! But, I will make this my challenge to cook healthier.
Karacg, which herbs do you use? What are the benefits of Raspberry Leaf tea ?

Re: IF Diet
I did, but who knows if its worth it
I eat lots of green leafy veggies, no caffene, occasional glass of vino (though I am buying ODouls - ugh). I added nuts to my diet too
My acu suggested the nuts and green vegs, and just recently told me to stop dairy, so I cut back

Re: IF Diet
My acupuncturist told me I have cold womb, and to cut back on dairy and raw veggies and salad, eat more red meat and soups, nuts and cooked green leafy veggies. I was doing it for a while but I have kind of slipped out of the habit.
I take drops -- pulsatilla and vitex compound -- for high FSH. Raspberry leaf tea is also supposed to strengthen kidney chi I think,,....

Re: IF Diet
I am always trying to eat better and lose weight. It is only now that I am between cycles that it is working.

Re: IF Diet
Let's see...I am seeing an acupuncturist and taking the herbs he prescribes. I have cut out alcohol. I no longer drink any coffee, only decaf/green tea. We only buy meat and chicken with no hormones or antibiotics. We've been buying organic eggs for a while. I'm eating much less dairy. When I can, I'm having cooked (rather than raw) vegetables.
Since reading "Inconceivable" a couple of weeks ago, I've also started drinking wheat grass juice.
