I have an answer

The doctor called yesterday to let me know the baby had a chromosone abnormality. I feel relieved (I guess) that there was a reason for this. I spent the past month wondering how I could have such a great 8 week visit to only find out 4 weeks later that the baby was gone.

The doctor was concerned with my sugar levels (I had GD my first pregnancy and took an early GT test and it came back high). He mentioned that as a possible cause the day I found out I MC. I spent a month beating myself up for not knowing I had high sugar. I've seen an endo since then and I do not have Type 2 diabetes as I originally feared, but I do have high(er) levels then they would like to see in pregnancy so they are treating me now (with a low dose of metformin) before I get pregnant again.

This month has been a rollercoaster and I am glad to finally feel relief that it was beyond my control. I'm still sad, I wish I was 4-1/2 months pregnant instead of waiting to try again but at least I have answers to my questions. Must. Look. To. The. Future.

I'm so glad to hear you got answers that bring you some piece of mind. The not knowing is extremely hard.
