Architect/Contractor Rec in Suffolk for Extension - SSL

Hello all,

I'm a huge lurker on this board. We moved into our house almost 2 years ago.

Its a 3 bedroom ranch, lv, dining, kitchen, full basement and 2 car garage. The 3rd bedroom is small and we have 2 children.

I may be coming into the funds to move forward with the extension we have been talking about - a master suite and a large living room. We have gone back and forth about going out, going up, taking the garage.

My father is very good with construction and he and by husband will be doing most of the labor work. I'll hire someone to do the shell, electrical and plumbing.

We need some good ideas and also someone who will know approximate costs for things as that will ultimately be the deciding factor.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an architect and/or contractor - we are in Commack?
