If you have had appliances delivered and then installed by Bestbuy please answer few ??? for me

We have a fridge, stove and dishwasher delivered in 2 weeks and then they will come to install everything 2 days later.
They will also take away the old appliances.

So my questions are:
-when Bestbuy delivered an appliance (s) for you for you did they disconnect the old one (s)? (like the gas line for a stove and waterline for the fridge/dishwasher) or did you have to have everything disconnected before they came?

-When they installed did they connect everything or did you have to do it ?

The reason I'm asking is bc we can't get a straight answer from BB. One person told us yes they do all the disconnecting and connecting and the other person said no they do not. So what do they do?

we got a washer/dryer from there-- and based on the experience, will never buy another appliance from them.

They would not disconnect the old ones. We needed to have someone come in and do it because it was in a tricky spot that we could't get to. They wouldn't give a straight answer on what WE needed to provide in order to hook it up, etc.

They came one day, and then needed to come back another because we got the wrong info from whomever DH spoke to-- and he spoke to several peopel the first go around to ensure we had it right.

Make sure you are prepared with more than you need, and that it's disconnected-- that's my advice.

We had a stove and fridge delivered. They hooked up the fridge but not the stove. I think it is a liability issue. If they hook up your gas stove wrong and your house blows up they would be responsible. They are just delivery men and not certified. We did also have to have the stove disconnected before they came.

Most don't want the responsibility of hooking up gas. It is very simple but they don't want the blame if you move it out and then back again.

I had them deliver a W/D. They said they couldn't get it down stairs (basement) wouldn't fit. They had 2 of them. I got it down myself with no trouble so I ended up not paying for the delivery since I had to do all the work. I am a former mover, but it really wasn't that difficult to get them downstairs.

We purchased a washer and dryer from them as well as an upright freezer.

We had to disconnect all old appliances before they arrived. They hooked up all the new appliances, levelled them, ensured everything was in proper working order before they left. They took the old appliances with them when they left.

I had a washer and dryer delivered by Best Buy. They installed the washer, but I had to have a plumber install the dryer because it was gas.

I had the old dryer disconnected before they came, so they could cart away both the washer and the dryer.

FWIW, the guys were really nice and installed the washer quickly. A year later, we haven't had any problems.

I guess we are going to ask our super to disconnect everything before they get here and then connect everything if needed.
