17 OH Progesterone - Edited - Why do I check the internet???

So my nurse just called and said they are going to run one more test on CD 3 on Sunday.

Something called 17 OH Progesterone because it was somewhat elevated when they took my bloodwork for the pregnancy test.

Any idea what this is about?

I'm going to look it up on the web too, but I wanted to see if anyone here had any experience.

ETA: Just looked it up on the web and everything I found said that elevated levels of 17 OH Progesterone can indicate an adrenal problem - specifically congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), or adrenal tumors.

Okay...now I'm freaking out a little bit!!

I don't really know anything about this and I am sorry you are going through this - I just wanted to say that the internet can be a horrible place to go to sometimes for information. I once practically diagnosed myself with a terrible degenerative disease because I had all the symptoms (and they were real symtpms that weren't common) until the Dr. threatened to take away my computer!! There is a lot of good info out there and a lot of bad or incomplete info.
