OK - I need a skin care regimin - help me
I dont want to spend a million dollars - Im OK with drug store brands.
I have never ever had one, and now that Im getting close to 32, its probably time I start taking care of it.
My routine now - St Ives Apricot scrub, Ponds moisturizer and that is it.
I need something to fend off aging (not that Im aging JUST yet) although I do have ONE age spot that my DH tried to wipe off my face.
My complexion is horrible - its red and dull and a little bumpy (although its not really pimples, but certainly not clear). My face is crazy dry too.
So come on ladies - what have you got? Do share!

I would go to Sephora speak to one of the girls there and narrow down to 2 or 3 different products you can sample. Try each once for 4 days or so and see what you like.
I used to have problem skin but since I had my kids its gotten much better. Now I use clean and clear face wash. I use a lotion under my makeup from juice beauty and an eye cream when i remember

I have the same one that my aunt has who looks incredibly young. I use dove soap....ponds cold cream, and 1x a week I exfoliate with sugar and mixed with baby oil. I use cold cream to take my makeup off.

I use a tea tree wash from the health food store only at night. In the am, I just wash up with a warm wash cloth.
In the am, I use olay with spf. At night, cetaphil and eye cream.
I was using Dr. Haushka for a while.

if your skin is dry, take it easy on it.
i used to use olay products because my mom always did and she has great skin and looks about 10 years younger than she is. but they would actually irritate my skin.
so i started using burt's bees cream cleanser on my face at night and just rinsing in the morning, and i think my skin looks better now than it did 4 or 5 years ago.
definitely think pure and gentle. your skin doesnt really need all of that scrubbing.
once in a while i will use 'skin effects' microdermabrasion products. i get them at cvs also.

Re: OK - I need a skin care regimin - help me
I have very dry and sensitive skin. I currently use clinique products for everything, but there are non-brand stuff you can get for a lot cheaper. If you have similar skin as mine, use a cold cream (I've used Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser) to wash your face daily (I do it at night) followed by a non-alcohol toner such as Artistry essential hydrating toner. Once to 2x a week I use Artistry essentials Moisture Intense Masque. The days I use the moisture masque I use a scrub (like your apricot) to wash my face instead of the cold cream.
My face creams are Clinique's Youth Surge dry to extra dry and I also use their All About Eyes
Not to toot my own horn, but I have great skin. I get lots of compliments on it too. My mom instilled this stuff in my head as a teenager because she was a skincare expert before kids.

Re: OK - I need a skin care regimin - help me
Aside from cleansing, exfoliating, toning, and moisturizing my skin, I have this Rejuvenating Night Cream from Omorovicza. It's good in producing collagen on the skin and what I love about this cream is that it minimizes fine lines on my forehead and around my eyes.Rejuvenating Night Cream

Re: OK - I need a skin care regimin - help me
I use:
*Alpha Hydrox Foaming Face Wash (great for all skin types) and/or Noxzema Triple Clean Antibacterial Lathering Cleanser (helps keep occasional breakouts at bay.) *Clarisonic every morning when I shower with the above facial cleansers *Alpha Hydrox Oil-Free Forumula *Olay Complete All Day UV Defense Moisture Lotion, Sensitive Skin, SPF 15 (although I'm not completely sold on this moisturizer yet, but it does the job for me.) *Alpha Hydrox Optimum Series, Retinol Night ResQ, Anti-Wrinkle Firming Complex (at night...but it's quite strong, so I recommend easing into it. Start with 2x's a week and gradually increase as your skin adjusts. )
Everything I posted, except the Clarisonic, can be purchased at Harmon Drugs and are reasonably priced.
I highly recommend the Alpha Hydrox line. (check out reviews online.) I have many of their products. I started using them when I was college and had glowing skin then. I stopped and started experimenting with pricier products, but none of them had the same outcome as the AH line.
